The Last weeks of Summer

This summer has been one of the most amazing one yet. This weekend the family decided to take John and go to Lake Ocoee for White Water Rafting. It was sooo much fun! I even got to ride the bull ( the front part of the boat). John fell out once, then we both jumped in.
We stayed at this amazing cabin! It was so beautiful and away from everything. Some people that worked there said that there was a bear that was often seen near the cabin. We never saw it but we set out bait and checked outside every chance we could. Dad and I have ALWAYS wanted to see a real live bear other then at the zoo.
Since John loves to play with insects he found me a grasshopper looking bug that he said would eat warts. I have a little wart on my foot so we put the bug on my wart and it ate the whole thing off! It was awesome! WE even found dad a lizzard that you could stick to your ear and wear as an earring! Check out the pictures from the trip!(:

Summer!! :)

The summer has been absouletly amazing so far! I've had such a great tim getting tan and hanging with my friends! Tomorrow I leave for a mission trip with my church to North Carolina. I always have a ton of fun on mission trips and I know I will on this one.
I got to hear Brad Harrub speak today. He was AMAZING! I learned all about how the people have changed on this Earth for the worst. Did you know that in some states women and men use the same bathrooms?? That's crazy to me! I would not want to have an older man follow me into the bathroom and use the stall next to me. I also learned about how the ancient Greeks have influenced todays culture. Did you know that the word "gymno" comes from the word "gymnasium" and actually means "to be nude"? the ancient greeks made that word because the first olympics were held nude. I also learned about how homosexuality is coming into play in our everyday lives. There are now children's books all about their mommys or daddys being gay. I think this is terrible! Also there is more and more violence happening everyday. People don't realize it, but if you ask a techer 50 years ago what they most feared in a classroom, it was the gun chewing. Now it's kids coming in with guns trying to kill people. What has happened to America??
Well anyway, I went to the mall a couple of days ago to see some of my bestfriends I haven't seen in a while, we walked around the mall and really enjoyed seeing each other again.
I went to Florida the day school let out and got a great tan, then went to my aunts last week end to help my tan even more!

School

School is going great! I have a ton of friends and my grades are FIANLLY taking a U-turn and going back up. We have the usually exciting TCAP next week, but the princible said that instead of watching movies like we usually do after the test, we have to go to all of our classes while our teeachers continue to teach. :(
I went to Willliam Loyd and Sherri's for Easter and met up with some of my family that I rarely get to see. I got in an argument with Uncle Don over football.
Amanda came home this weekend and missed my speech. She had an o.k. reason why. She said that I didn't act like I wanted to do my speech and take it seriously. In a way she's right but I ended up winning the thing, so I'm mad that she missed it. That's ok though. This weekend is the Fall Retreat with my church youth group and I can't wait! I know I'm gonna have a ton of fun!

Funny story from Lads

Although Lads to Leaders was a ton of fun with my friends and I winning awards and trophies my faviort story by far from the trip was about Alena one of my best friend. We were walking off stage when Alena suddenly tripped on the stairs grabbing one of the guys around the neck with one hand and his hand with her other hand. When she recovered and was back up on her I asked her how she tripped and if she was ok. she giggled and replied, "the only reason I tripped was because I thought that guy was cute and wanted to hold his hand!"
I don't know why but this cracks me up everytime I think about it.

It worked!

So thanks to mom and Amanda the hard work paid off! I can go! We're also bringing along two of my friends! I can't wait to go see my sister! I guess that even thought he didn't get to see my sad eyes, he did hear the sadness in my voice! :)

To bad for Sad eyes.......

Today my Amanda lovingly wrote on my facebook wall "Ashley, try to talk dad into letting you come down and seeing me Saturday Afternoon. We can also go see making music :)" I was so excited! I haven't seen my big sis in ages! SO I rang my father and said, "Father! I think we need to go see my sister, Amanda because I love her and I want to go to making music!!!!" His verry enthusiastic reply was as follows, "Ashley poo, I could care less about making music, and I really just want to be home with my family." By this point I was wondering why I get this excuse everytime I wanna do something. So I had to think fast, I couldn't put on my "sad" eyes because we weren't in person, remember I rang him. So I put on this cute little girl voice, you know the kind thats saying I really want something but I doubt it will happen but I'm just gonna try anyway? Well I used that and I begged like a begger begging for food when he came back with what he thought of as a good come back "Ashley poo, I just wanna spend some time with my family..." Ok now HOLD UP!!! Is Amanda SMITH not a part of his family??? So I was getting adgitated now. I finally just decided I wasn't gonna talk to him, and if I was it was gonna be a short answer. I think he kinda got the point and now Amanda isn't gonna come home next time he asks her! We're going on strike!

this is the worst time to be sick :(

Well sadly, I woke up this morning fealing terrible due to a massive headache and a little fever that later grew. All day I've been trying my best to heal myself by drinking cran apple juice and laying in bed. I have to be better by tomorrow because one of my close friends is have a party and we're all watching the movie "When a stranger calls" and having a bonfire and roasting weenies! I'm also hanging out with one of my best friends McKenzie, Amanda, and mom. We're going to get manicures, pedicures, and go shopping in celebration of Amanda coming home! So I must get better!

Life is good!

Well I haven't posted on my blog in forever, but life is good. I am Princess Diana for the weeks wax museum project at school and I can't wait. I've had to write and memorize a speech, pick out a costume (complete with HUGE plastic diamond ring, and tiara), and make a poster board. It's all been very difficult, but this weekend is kinda my weekend to relax. Amanda is home and i just got back from hanging out with my friends at the mall. This week at school was all about drama whe one of my really good friends got caught with a pocket knife that he had brought to school to give back to his friend who let him borrow it, and he got in a ton of trouble. So I have been praying for him and that everything gets sorted out. Also, one of my friends got hit with a softball and broke her finger. I good thing is is that grandma is coming in to talk to my school about her travels in Africa Tuesday. So that will be a ton of fun! So this week has been busy but hopefully i can rest up this weekend!

Well life's been going good! I've been packing for the Fall Retreat which is this weekend! It was actually pretty funny cause it took me an hour to get everything packed. I had 3 bags plus my make-up bag, I ran downstairs with all my bags to tell mom I was all done. She asked why I had so many bags and when I told her that I wanted to keep warm she told me I was crazy so we had to take all of my clothes back out of my bags and took out like 3 outfits that I think I would have worn but hey, mothers know best. So we packed it all in 2 bags! Now they are all in the car and we are almost ready to leave we're just waiting for Alena to get here. I've also been playing on my facebook lately! I got one 3 days ago and love it! Although I'm on it alot Olivia is on it more than I am ever since she learned my password! haha! well g2g!

College Kid!

Well the dance was great and my grades are still rising above the clouds ( not really i wish) I haven't gotten grounded in a long time for my grades, but I as grounded last week. Any who I'm up there in Henderson, TN at Amanda's nursing house. I was supposed to go to class with John and look at little bugs in leaves but instead he ate somthing and is atthe moment throwing up. So I'mwatching T.V.,chillin with one of Amanda's roommates Megan. She's really nice. I'm also texting my bestie Olivia or Liv (for short). The poor thing is getting braces today. I know she'll look gorgeous even though she doesn't think so. She's probaly one ofthe prettiest girls I know and she doesn't even realize it. Well mom's telling meI have to get in the shower and I reallydon'twant to get grounded so I have to go.

Going Up......!

I finally got my computer to upload some pictures from R.U.S.H to my blog. Even though it only uploaded one you can see the excitment flowing from our ears! R.U.S.H was so much fun. I got see friends I hadn't seen in forever and go to some pretty awesome classes. And guess what? My grades are finally going up! So that now I have to high A's and 2 almost, about to be A's as soon as the teachers get the quiz scores in from today. So for the most part I get to keep my cell phone, I'm able ot use the computer, and I'm not grounded from going places! This Friday is the 7th grade dance for our school and I am very excited about that as well. I know your probaly wondering if I have a date, well I'm only in the seventh grade so we all go with our closest friends. If I am able to go I'll be with my besties the whole time. I promise, no dirty dancing. To Renata- I can't wait! Remeber last year?

Banged up blonde head

It seems like everywhere I turn lately I have been banging my head againest something. The other day in science class I started laughing so hard I hit my head on my text book. OUCH! Then I was in my Amanda's room with two of my best friends Hallie and Olivia and When I slid open the closest door to look in the closet. Hallie went to the other side of the closet, I guess she didn't really notice that I was on the other side, and she slide the door back to my side and banged my head againest the door! Once again, today I was laughing so hard in Social studies because you see my friend Niki and I have an inside joke and so I was laughing really hard when she mentioned it and I whacked my head againest my binder and there was a big red mark! I just don't know what my problem is! The good news is that I have 2 high B's and 3 high A's in school! I guess all that studying payed off!

Finally 13!

Saturday the 6th was my 13th biethday party! It was great! all my closest friends were able to come and join me. WE played volleyball, basketball, and flashlight tag! I won flashlight tag and was terrible at volleyball. but then we had a bon fire and it was HUGE! It was AMAZING! All the boys started jumping over it. WE raised a ton of gift cards which are now being given to people who need them the most. So today I get to stay home from school and I'm about to go to Lewisburg and meet Jessica and grandma. And every1 who knows me knows that I love Subway so we will be having subway! I am so excited and thank you to my parents for helping me have my party and just for everything and everyone that came to my party! You made it worth the while. I am efficially a teenager come 3:00! (I think)

School Schedule!

Well I got my school schedule the other day and I got my locker. I was asking all my older friends about my teachers, Mr.Laundry, Mrs.Zoky, Mrs.Underwood, and Mr.Pettey. They said that I got two of the worst teachers and two of the best teachers. So I'm kinda exctied but really scared at the same time. I don't really know what to think. I hope that once I get to school all of my teachers are amazing! Oh yeah and right after I got my locker and it's combination on a little peice of paper I went shopping with my friend olivia. I was feeling in my pocketsonly to find that I have now lost my locker number and combination. Now my teacher is going to think that I am irresponsible! I'm so scared! wish me luck!

End of Summer:(

It's the end of summer. Only two more weeks until school starts back. So I'm kinda mad, but kinda glad. I wanna see all my friends but I will miss sleeping in late. Hanging out with my friends, and of course Afternoon Naps! Up above is our girls day flier. I hope you all can come it's august 16th! Amanda is teaching and I have a ton of friends coming!If you've never been before its just girls and we go to classes and get a chance to meet other girls from other churches near by. I get to go see the BILTMORE! I've never been before! I'm sure Tiffany's wedding will be Amazing! This Friday is our End of Summer Lock in at church! So I'm excited about that! Today

I just got done running. I've decided to try out for track next year! Also today I went to the pool with Janna and the boys! IT was a blast! I got a pretty good tan. Tomorrow I'm going swimming with my bestie Olivia or FBS (I did that just for you Olivia) Then she's coming home with me for a slumber party with just us! WE're going to get grandma from the airport, she's coming home from Africa! I can't wait to see her!

South Dakota

South Dakota was amazing! I formed a gang with my best friends in the world! Lee, Drew, Alena, Chris, Justin and of course me! WE did almost everything together! The main thing we did on the trip was fix a church! WE painted and retiled! It was a blast! I have a ton of pictures but I'm only showing you a few of my faviorts! In the pictures Lee is the one with the brown hair and is really pretty she is older than me and Alena, Alena is my age and has brown hair Justin is the boy that has black hair and chris has brown hair and Drew has blonde hair!

A busy bee would be me! In three long days I will be leaving for South Dakota witht he youth group! It seems I have waited decades for this! I'm am soo excited! Then after South DAkota off to Camp! Then after camp off to Florida! I love busy summers though. I hate being stuck with nothing to do! Please keep my grandma in your prayers as she teaches in Africa!
